Today I relax, well texlax...
I spent most of my day running around town. But I relaxed tonight well, texlax.
I'll inform you briefly about texlaxing. Its basically not smoothing the hair and having the chemical on for a long period of time. You shorten your process and you don't smooth out the hair.
I had a lot of control this time with application, why? Because I actually used an applicator brush. For the longest I would use the mixing stick and had no control. I can hear you now, what the what????
This time I had much more control than usual. I smoothed out my edges and did no other manipulation.
I did a mid protein after the rinse of the relaxer, which boosted my hair strength and I could feel difference. The Mid Protein was a ORS Replenishing Pak. now mind you I just did a heavy protein, Aphogee 2-step, before I relaxed, so I got my protein and it has been really good so far, it was really dry after the Aphogee 2-step so afterwards I did do a Deep conditioners and M/S'd before bed.. Shampoo neutralized four times and did a quick Roux for porosity control.
My hair felt great! There was no burn during my short process and I did "base" my scalp and hair. What's that mean, "base"? When base your scalp you add a layer of protection to your head, skin and hair. You do this so there is no over processing. All good things.
I even was able to stand a deep condition under the hooded dryer, mine is one of the portable ones. It works though. I looked at my hair after all this process and it still looked bone straight at the root
So I mositurized and during this stage of the damp hair setting, I realized that my hair was longer on one side than the other.
*sigh* that's from my failed attempt to trimm my ends. I don't like scissors because I can't see them all around, my fault but it will grow.
I did recieve my Splitender in the mail so I will trim the ends, next day. (the picture you see of the hair clipped are after the trimming of the ends)
I had a hard time just getting adjusted to the relaxer portion, I do believe the breakage I was having was to due to the long stretch, this is my lesson, DO NOT STRETCH TOO LONG.
This next stretch I will only go 9 weeks and we'll see what happens
I hope to be able to gain a moisture balance and keep my hair habit to maximum I really would like to have healthier hair as well as a healthy me
Xoxo
